DVR might need upgrade firmware to solve some bugs, in some case in need, please follow the following steps to upgrade newest firmware accordingly!
How to update firmware: (If you’re still unfamiliar with this, please send email to us, share your DVR user, password and serial number, we’ll remote upgrade for you.)
a.Please go to Main Menu>—Info>—Version>–system, for reference picture Click here
Find related firmware version on our website. For example, if system in your DVR shows 00000117, you can find Firmware 00000117 below to update newest firmware.
b.Download the Firmware file from Website.
c.UNZIP and Copy the firmware file to a USB storage.
d.Insert the USB storage to DVR USB port.
e.Go to Main menu>–Advanced>–Upgrade>.DVR automatically recognize this Firmware file. Please just click “upgrade” button.

my recorder is not working
Thank you for this comprehensive website full o f valuable information! One question, please: Does the motion event pre-record feature work on any XM compatible devices (IP cameras or NVRs)? I have 2 XM (Hi3516) cameras, they have that option but it does nothing. I also have a NBD8010S-KL-V2 based NVR and it doesn’t have that option at all. Is this feature missing at all these cheap Chinese surveillance devices? Hikvision, Dahua, Safer and others do have the motion event buffer option. Thanks!
